WIP 1: RED ASTRAY Ver. MK

Wow.. now i brave enough to proceed to another project. Basically, what im doing until today were practicing to improve my hand ability crafting this special plastic kit. My target is hopefully to join BAKUC for the upcoming years but not BAKUC this year lorh..

Alright, back to business. Some informations I gather from the web about this suit:

Original mechanical designer(s): Junichi Akutsu (mobile suit), Yoshihiko Machida (flight unit and underwater gear)

So I tend to try to modify and do some extra pla-plating and modding to some part of the suit. Well, actually I bought this gundam assembled from a forumer and it was very loose and some of the part were lost. For example the V-fin. So how can I get a V-Fin for the head looks nicer~

This is how the NG 1/100 Astray Red Frame looks like. To compare this suit with MG Red Kai, so much different. The details and weapons are totally out of subject for a NG to compete with a MG.

So, for the first step. I will do some sketches. The modification that I made is based on emmmm..like a fully covered ninja in Latest Rain's Muviee.

I move on to the right hand first, searching the best machine to install to the right hand (replacing the armor shield). Concept: wolverine claw which can move in or outwards.

and the process begin:
Item used:
.:. Tamiya Cement
.:. Mr White Putty
.:. Pla-Plate 1.0 mm and 1.5mm (thickness)

I tought it would be easy to modding and shaping the pla-plates. Many changes been made until i managed to finish the right hand today at 2pm.

I also do some panel lined attached at the pla-plates (first time scribbing them)

And this is the result of my haha modification to the right hand of the NG Red Astray Gundam.
